About thefrenchguy: Born in Northern part of Quebec where people and nature have learned to coexist in perfect harmony, I use my art to express this childhood vision of our world. I discovered my passion for photography while in the Canadian Navy and have taken my camera with me all over the world ever since. I try to capture the beauty in nature, people and places offering a simple “coup d’oeil” through the lens of my camera. Being an engineer, I focus on the technical aspect of the process, trying to master this two dimension visual art without digital manipulation . When I am out there with my camera, I am like a child chasing a butterfly; I am having fun.
I like to explore the various dimensions in photography ranging from the very realistic images to the most surrealist one. Macro photography, creative lighting, special effects and montage are some of the techniques I enjoy. Sharing this passion and images with you is my reward, enjoy the "journey".
